Inhalt: The Dream of the Blue Turtles stellte Stings erstes Solo-Album dar. 1985 auf dem Markt erschienen, erorberte es sofort die Top-Ten Charts, sowohl in den USA als auch in Deutschland. Nach der Trennung von The Police beschäftigte sich Sting viel mit Jazz. Zahlreiche Hits auf diesem Album sind in Zusammenarbeit mit namhaften Jazzmusikern entstanden, wie mit dem Saxophonisten Banford Marsalis. Damit markierte dieses Album einen Wendepunkt im künstlerischen Schaffen Stings.
