Inhalt: Die CD-Reissue von Swans "The Great Annihilator" bietet ein komplettes Remastering des Albums sowie das komplette Solo-Album "Drainland" von Michael Gira als Bonus. Beide Werke entstanden in der gleichen Schaffensperiode, so dass es sich anbietet diese inhaltlich zusammenzufassen. "The Great Annihilator" erschien ursprünglich 1995, das Remaster erscheint von den Orginal-Aufnahme-Tapes. Diese Aufgabe übernahm mit viel Detailarbeit Doug Henderson, sehr zur Zufriedenheit von Michael Gira, der das Ergebnis als "a revelation of great sonic effect" beschreibt.
